Coles Book Club event - Thursday 18th October 2018 @ 7.00pm - Lesley Thomson - The Detective's Daughter
This is our next 'Coles Book Club' event, an opportunity to meet the author of the book you've just read. We are offering our customers a title we've selected for you to read and the chance to come along to the 'Coles Book Club' for an evening with the author - it's an opportunity to discuss the book with other readers, ask the author questions about the book, have a glass of wine and a general natter about books - just like a book club.
Buy the 'Book Club' book for £8.99 either here online, or in the shop in Bicester, enjoy reading it and then come along to the bookshop on 18th October and meet the author Lesley Thomson for an evening of discussion. And of course, get your book signed by Lesley on the evening - the book you buy from Coles is your ticket for the evening.
A little about the book: 'The Detective's Daughter'
Detective Darnell died before he closed the case. Can his daughter solve it thirty years later?
It was the murder that shocked the nation. Kate Rokesmith, a young mother, went to the river with her three-year-old son. She never came home.
For three decades the case file has lain, unsolved, in the corner of an attic. Until the detective's daughter Stella, a cleaner who loves restoring order, starts to clear out her father's house after his death...
About the Author:
Lesley Thomson is a Londoner. Her first crime novel A Kind of Vanishing won The People's Book Prize in 2010. The Detective's Daughter is a number one bestseller and is the first book in the series.
