Hardback Limited Edition (250 Worldwide) in Linen Clamshell Case
Hand Signed by Noel Fielding and Dave Brown to a Title Page
New & Unread - Published 2011

Signed, limited edition - 250 copies only

The Scribblings of a Madcap Shambleton limited edition is signed by Noel Fielding and Dave Brown, and numbered. The front and back of the book are embossed with Noel's artwork. The book is in a box covered in bright yellow real linen, to match Noel's overalls, and lined with a polka-dot pattern which appears in the book. The box is embossed with 3 coloured foils (black, white and red). Also in the box are two signed prints; one a high-quality photo of Noel (10" x 8"), and the other a screen print of one of his pieces of art which appears in the book. The screen print is 285mm x 225mm and it is printed on a thick 300gsm slightly off-white, textured stock with hand-torn edges. It is embossed with a limited edition stamp.

'Growing up in the jungles of India there was no need for drawing or painting, I would sometimes arrange ants into primitive still lives or scratch out portraits onto the trunks of trees. Things changed when I was 11, a lame tiger who owned a stationery shop gave me the keys to his stock room. I would roll around in acrylic and oil pastels in a reverie, licking canvases and tucking coloured pencils into my wild hair. It was here I learned how to draw and paint well enough to be accepted into Croyden Art College. There, Dexter Dalwood (Turner Prize nominee) taught me and after two years under his supreme tutelage and much hard graft he advised me to become a comedian.'

About the Author: Comedian, actor and artist Noel Fielding is best known for playing Vince Noir in The Mighty Boosh with comedy partner Julian Barratt and as a team captain on TV show Never Mind The Buzzcocks. After The Mighty Boosh, he wrote and starred in two series of a solo show for Channel 4, Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy, between 2012 and 2014. Since 2017 he has co-presented The Great British Bake Off and appeared in an episode of BBC TV's Shakespearean comedy Upstart Crow.
