The Queen's People by Hugo Rittson Thomas

Hardback Limited 1st Edition
Hand Signed by Hugo Rittson Thomas to the Title Page
New & Unread

The British monarchy’s rich and storied heritage has been preserved for centuries, and The Queen’s People, made with Royal Household approval, presents a magnificent collection of photography that brings Queen Elizabeth II and important members of Her Majesty’s court to life as rarely seen before. Featuring forty-two unique portraits by prominent British photographer Hugo Rittson Thomas, this hand-bound limited-edition volume captures the pageantry of the Royal Court’s intricate ceremonial dress and regalia, and highlights the pride each individual takes in serving his or her nation and sovereign. A historical essay by the Garter Principal King of Arms completes this grand tome.

About the Photographer: Hugo Rittson Thomas is a British portrait photographer. He began his career after studying Fine Art at Central St. Martin’s and Goldsmiths University of London. In 2011 he started working on a photographic series, Creatives, which documents high-profile London individuals from Ron Arad and Hans-Ulrich Obrist to Kylie Minogue and artists Gilbert and George. He has also created photographic series documenting the master chefs at the Harvest Festival and portraits of the Olympic artists. Besides being commissioned to photograph Her Majesty the Queen and her court, other notable portraits include Prime Minister David Cameron, as well as the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, photographed for The Sunday Times.
