About the Author: Jack Monroe was born in 1988 in Southend-on-Sea. Jack was awarded the 2013 Fortnum and Mason Judges' Choice Award for the impact that her blog, A Girl Called Jack, now named Cooking on a Bootstrap, has had. She is now a well-known campaigner against hunger and poverty in the UK, weekly recipe columnist for the Guardian, and winner of Women of the Year 2014. She is author of the cookbooks A Girl Called Jack, A Year in 120 Recipes, Cooking on a Bootstrap and Tin Can Cook.

Orders for delivery in the UK are despatched by Courier and will normally be delivered to you within a few days of placing your order (UK deliveries by Courier normally arrive the day after we despatch). Signed Books are shipped in specially made book mailing cartons, with the books themselves wrapped in paper and bubble wrap to protect them. Because we use courier and signed for delivery services, please use an address at which your parcel can be signed for during the normal working day.
