Seeking out the fuel which makes the heart a little lighter is worth its weight in gold.

Like the Batman & Robin of love, Saint Valentine and his sidekick Cupid have been firing off the amorous arrows this last week. At a time when so much hate is grabbing the headlines, it’s beautiful to see that the antidote is still front and centre in the emotions of most. A little love goes a long way, it becomes infectious and is the powerful bond for those caught up in the emotion of a joyous moment – footballers hugging one another, and their supporters going bonkers in the stands after the scoring of a goal; England’s ecstatic players taking 5 wickets in a breathless evening of cricket; the eruption of joy after the 50 yard dash to score the try which wins the match in the closing minutes of an afternoon’s struggle – is that euphoria love? It looks pretty close to me. Seeking out the fuel which makes the heart a little lighter is worth its weight in gold – Holly Johnson of Frankie Goes to Hollywood had it bang-on when he sang ‘Love is like an energy’ – seek out their single ‘The Power of Love’ – and your heart will fly.
