Charlie Ross – “Sold!”

The Coles Book Club – an opportunity to read the book and then join us to meet the author Charlie Ross for an evening of chat and, of course, a glass of wine, at Coles with your fellow readers. The book you buy from Coles becomes your ticket for the evening – click on the book cover below to buy your book online and we’ll post it to you, or call in at the Shop and pick up a copy.

The extraordinary and highly amusing life story of one of our best-loved TV personalities.

Told with wit, honesty, and refreshing modesty, Charlie Ross’s remarkable ‘bantams to Bugattis’ autobiography is packed with fascinating behind-the-scenes insights and delightful stories from the schoolroom, via the salesroom, to the TV screen.

“The excitement of the world of auctions and the fun of Charlie Ross – it’s an irresistible combination. I’m sold on SOLD!” – Gyles Brandreth.

About the Author: Charlie ran his own auction house in Woburn for over 25 years and has conducted a wide variety of auctions ranging from antiques, commercial and residential properties, through to vintage cars and Intellectual Property.

The very first lot that he sold – in 1968 – was… a pen of chickens!

Charlie has also appeared on The Antiques Roadshow, The Antiques Road Trip, Flog It!, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, For What It’s Worth, and Pointless.
