About the Author: Naveen Garg is Senior Principal Scientist and Head, Physico Mechanical Metrology Division and Acoustics and Vibration Standards in CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi working in the field of Acoustics and Vibrations since past 21 years. He is also serving as Professor, Faculty of Engg. Sciences, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad. He is a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Machine Design, Vibrations and Acoustics, Measurement science and working in development and up-gradation of primary standards of sound pressure and vibration amplitude and R&D in Applied Acoustics. He has done his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi Technological University, Delhi and M. Tech in Machine Design from IIT Delhi. He has been involved in many consultancy and sponsored projects pertaining to Environmental Impact Assessment studies in respect of noise and vibration for govt. bodies like Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), India etc. He has published many papers in national and international journals in the field of acoustics and vibrations and has been actively involved in the Key Comparison exercises in Acoustics and Vibration metrology with other National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) of the world that has led to publishing of Calibration & Measurement Capabilities (CMCs) of CSIR-NPL, India in BIPM, Paris Key Comparison Database (KCDB). He has been Managing Editor of a reputed journal and reviewer of many international journals and has enormously contributed towards evaluation, analysis and control of noise pollution. He was awarded APMP Iizuka Young Metrologist Prize for Developing Economies by Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) Secretariat, Japan in November, 2017 for his notable contributions to acoustics and vibration metrology. He has been a member of various national and international committees associated with noise and vibration issues and Building Acoustics. He has been the author of many books on noise measurement and control and has recently been the editor of book "Handbook of Vibroacoustics, Noise and Harshness".Chitra Gautam, Principal Scientist, Acoustics and Vibration Standards in CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, working in the field of building acoustics, acoustics and vibrations for the past 4.5 years. She is also serving as Assistant Professor, Faculty of Physical Sciences, Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad. She is an Instrumentation Engineer and she was previously working with CSIR- Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani. She has worked with 9 years of R&D experience in the field of machine learning, IoT and Agri-electronics. She has also worked as a Lecturer for 01 year in NIT, Kurukshetra, India and 02 years as a Project research fellow at CSIR-CEERI, Pilani. She has done her Doctorate in Instrumentation from Gauhati University, Guwahati. She has been involved in many governments, consultancy, industry and sponsored projects pertaining to environmental impact assessment studies with respect to water quality measurement, freshwater fish aquaculture, air quality measurement systems, building acoustics and noise and vibration for Govt. bodies like the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), India. She has published many papers in national and international journals and conferences in the fields of air quality, water quality, machine learning and deep learning, food processing, acoustics and vibrations. She is a reviewer of many international journals and conferences and also contributes to the evaluation, analysis and control of noise pollution. She has been a member of various national and international committees associated with noise and vibration issues and Building Acoustics. She has been a life member of various national and international committees such as MSI, IETE, ISOI, IPA, SSI and OWSD. She has been a member of various national and international committees associated with noise and vibration issues and Building Acoustics. UK Delivery
Orders for delivery in the UK are normally despatched by Royal Mail, using the RM 48 Tracked Service with most orders delivered to you within a few days of placing your order with us. For larger parcels, Courier and Signed For delivery services may be used. Signed Books are shipped in our specially made book mailing cartons, with the books themselves wrapped in paper to protect them. Sometimes we may ship your order in several parts, particularly if you have 'Pre-Order' titles in your order or titles which are held in stock with our publishing partners.
The Really Important Bit: Because we use tracked, courier and signed for delivery services, please use an address at which your parcel can be received during the normal working day, for example, you may want to have your order delivered to your work address if you're not at home during the day.

Another Really Important Bit: There are a number of Postcodes in the UK for which we will need to charge a shipping supplement, this will be calculated once we know the size and weight of the shipment. Where possible, we will ship book orders (under 2kg) by Royal Mail to all UK postcodes. Large multiple book orders and books over 2kg are often shipped via APC Overnight or similar, regardless of Postcode.

All overseas orders are shipped using a 'signed for' courier service - please provide an address at which your parcel can be signed for on receipt. You can of course cancel your order with an immediate refund should you not wish to accept these additional costs. Coming by Car
If you're coming to Coles by car, why not take advantage of the 2 hours free parking at Sainsbury's Pioneer Square - just follow the signs for Pioneer Square as you drive into Bicester and park in the multi-storey car park above the supermarket. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. You don't need to shop in Sainsbury's to get the free parking!
