How do I order online?

Making a purchase could not be easier.

1. Just browse our Online Store, and click on any items that you wish to buy, they will then appear in your shopping basket.
2. If it's a Coles Signed Edition you're after, be sure that the words 'Signed Edition' appear after the title and author - if those words aren't there, then you'll be shipped an unsigned book - even if you've used the word 'signed' in your search, you may still be presented with an unsigned option.
3. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout Now" in the shopping basket and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept Visa, Visa Delta, MasterCard, Switch, JCB, Solo and Visa Electron.

Payments are made securely via our payment service providers, "WorldPay" & "PayPal".

We accept online payments in Pounds Sterling. Products are priced in Pounds Sterling.

Your online "receipt" and automated email are not an order acceptance. We will review your order and payment prior to acceptance. We reserve the right to cancel an order at our discretion.

How do I use National Book Tokens?

You can use National Book Tokens to pay for your online purchases, just select that option at the Checkout and complete the 19 digit number which you'll find on the reverse of your Book Token underneath the barcode. If the amount of value on your Book Token isn't enough to cover the cost of your purchase, don't worry, we'll give you a quick call to arrange payment of the balance by another means (please be sure to supply your phone number as you Checkout).

Can I back order a title?

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. This is done for a small number of the larger, more expensive items which we offer - please allow up to 10 days for delivery of these items.

What are Pre-Orders?

In conjunction with our publishing partners, we’ll sometimes offer a book for ‘Pre-Order’ – based on the understanding that the author has agreed to sign their books on publication. This is done so that we may try and satisfy as many orders as possible. If for any reason the author then chooses not to sign books for these pre-orders, we will contact you as soon as we are notified and offer you an immediate refund.

If your order includes a Pre-Order item amongst items which are in stock, depending on the publication date of the Pre-Order book, we may part-ship your order with the Pre-Order book to follow. In these cases you will only pay the shipping charges associated with the original order – there will be no extra to pay for these part-shipped orders.

What are Last Copies?

We often keep a large stock of our Coles Signed Editions, all neatly tucked away in our stockroom waiting to be packed and shipped. Because we are also a real book shop in the real world, we will have some copies of our Signed Editions out on display in the bookcases and on the tables in the shop - this will sometimes mean that when we get down to the Last Copies of a particular book they may well have been handled many times and could have picked up a few bumps and knocks along the way. If this is the case, we'll clearly show on our website which are the 'Last Copies' and even include a few images of the bumps and knocks.

Can my orders be combined and shipped as one? (Bulk Shipping)

A growing number of customers have asked if we can collate a number of their orders and ship them in bulk – this helps save shipping costs and reduces the frequency of parcels flying about the World. We’re more than delighted to accommodate these requests. All you need to do is choose ‘Click & Collect’ at the Checkout to avoid the shipping charges being added to your order. Just drop us a note to info@coles-books.co.uk to let us know you’d like your orders collated and we’ll safely and securely store your books until you are ready to take shipment, at which time we ask you to arrange payment of the shipping charges in line with our standard shipping tariff.

Can I use images on your site?

Our images are ours, they are copyrighted and are not to be used by any 3rd party without our explicit approval and agreement.

How do you use my information?

Danny Boy Trading Company Ltd. does not disclose buyers' information to third parties. 

When you order from us, we will require your name, address, e-mail address, phone number and other similar information to enable us to process your order, notify you of acceptance of your order and deliver the goods ordered.

We may, unless you tell us not to, pass this information to our couriers or other agents in case they need to contact you to arrange the processing or delivery of your order.
