Butterworths Competition Law Handbook contains the principal UK and EU legislation relating to competition law, foreign direct investment and subsidy control, together with extensive coverage of European Commission guidelines, CMA and sectoral regulator guidelines, and UK and EU court materials. This year's edition has been restructured to make navigation easier, and now contains 11 Parts. Part 1 (UK Statutes) contains the key, fully-updated Acts relating to competition law. It includes the Competition Act 1998, the Enterprise Act 2002, and the relevant provisions of the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986, the Water Industry Act 1991, FSMA 2000, the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013, and the National Security and Investment Act 2021. This year's edition also includes the Subsidy Control Act 2022, which replaces the EU State aid regime in the UK. Part 2 (UK Statutory instruments) contains the most important Orders and Regulations made under the Acts included in Part 1. This year's edition contains the Competition Act 1998 (Vertical Agreements Block Exemption) Order 2022, as well as a new section relating to Regulations made under the Subsidy Control Act 2022. Part 3 (CMA & other guidelines) contains the key antitrust and merger guidance issued by the CMA, as well as sectoral regulator guidance. New and revised material in this edition includes: * CMA8: Guidance on the CMA's investigation procedures in Competition Act 1998 cases (January 2022) * CMA2(revised): Mergers - Guidance on the CMA's jurisdiction and procedure (January 2022) * Ofgem Enforcement Guidelines (March 2022) * CMA166: Vertical Agreements Block Exemption Order - CMA guidance (July 2022). Part 4 now contains UK Court Materials. These include the Competition Appeal Tribunal Rules 2015, and the Competition Appeal Tribunal Guide to Proceedings (2015), as well as new (2022) Practice Directions issued by the CAT. It also includes updated guidance on the service of documents on the CMA in court proceedings (July 2022). Part 5 contains Brexit-related materials. Relevant provisions of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 and the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Act 2020 are included, together with the 'Exiting the EU Regulations' made under the 2018 Act. Other material in this Part includes CMA and Commission guidance relating to the UK's withdrawal from the EU and the end of the transition period. Part 6 (UK COVID-19-Related Materials) contains the UK materials that are still relevant in this field - including CMA guidance and the CAT Practice Direction. Part 7 contains EU material and Retained EU material (except State aid materials). Relevant original EU legislation is included in full with, where appropriate, notes detailing how that legislation applies in the UK post-IP completion day. Part 10 (EU Court Materials) includes consolidated versions of the Rules of Procedure of the Court of Justice and the Rules of Procedure of the General Court; the consolidated version of the Statute of the Court of Justice of the EU; and relevant Practice Directions, Recommendations of the Court of Justice, and advice to counsel. Sometimes we may ship your order in several parts, particularly if you have 'Pre-Order' titles in your order or titles which are held in stock with our publishing partners.

The Really Important Bit: Because we use courier and signed for delivery services, please use an address at which your parcel can be signed for during the normal working day, for example, you may want to have your order delivered to your work address if you're not at home during the day.

2 Items & over @ £5.00 in total

Another Really Important Bit: There are a number of Postcodes in the UK for which we will need to charge a shipping supplement, this will be calculated once we know the size and weight of the shipment. For these orders we will contact customers to agree a suitable and economic method of shipping. There may also be additional time required for delivery to some areas of the United Kingdom. Where possible, we will ship single book orders (under 2kg) by Royal Mail to all UK postcodes. Multiple book orders and books over 2kg are shipped via APC Overnight, regardless of Postcode.
