About the Author: Prof. Avinash Kumar Agarwal: Prof. Avinash Kumar Agarwal joined IIT Kanpur in 2001. Prof. Agarwal was at ERC, University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA as a Post-Doctoral Fellow (1999 - 2001). His areas of interest are IC engines, combustion, alternative fuels, hydrogen, conventional fuels, lubricating oil tribology, optical diagnostics, laser ignition, HCCI, emission and particulate control, and large bore engines. Prof. Agarwal has published more than 200 peer reviewed international journal and conference papers. He is associate editor of ASME Journal of Energy Resources Technology, and International Journal of Vehicle Systems Modelling and Testing. He has edited "Handbook of Combustion" (5 Volumes; 3168 pages), published by Wiley VCH, Germany. Prof. Agarwal is a Fellow of SAE (2012), Fellow of ASME (2013) and a Fellow of INAE (2015). Prof. Agarwal is the recipient of Prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize-2016 in Engineering Sciences. Dr. Santanu De: Dr. Santanu De is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur since December 2014. He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the North Bengal University in 2002, and an M. Tech. from IIT Kanpur in 2004, both in Mechanical Engineering. He received his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from IISc, Bangalore in 2012. Prior to joining IIT Kanpur, he served for two years at MTU as a postdoctoral research associate, and one year at the University of Stuttgart. His primary areas of research are numerical modeling of turbulent combustion, spray atomization and combustion, coal gasification and combustion. He is Associate Editor for the 'Journal of Energy, Environment and Sustainability'. Professor Ashok Pandey: Professor Ashok Pandey is Eminent Scientist at the Center of Innovative and Applied Bioprocessing, Mohali. His major research interests are in the areas of microbial, enzyme and bioprocess technology. He has to his credit over 1150publications/communications, including 16 patents, 50+ books, 140 book chapters, 423 original and review papers, an h index of 78 and ~ 25,000 Goggle Scholar citations. Professor Pandey is the recipient of several fellowships such as the Fellowships of Royal Society of Biology (UK), Academician of European Academy of Sciences and Arts, Germany; ISEES; National Academy of Science (India); BRSI; and awards such as Thomson Scientific India Citation Laureate Award, USA; UNESCO Professor; Raman Research Fellowship Award, CSIR; and GBF, Germany. Prof Pandey is Editor-in-chief of Bioresource Technology, Honorary Executive Advisor of Journal of Water Sustainability and Journal of Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Subject editor of Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences (India) and serves on the editorial board of several other journals. Dr. Akhilendra Pratap Singh: Dr. Akhilendra Pratap Singh is a CSIR Pool Scientist at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He received his Masters and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India in 2010 and 2016 respectively. His areas of research include advanced low temperature combustion; optical diagnostics with special reference to engine endoscopy and PIV; combustion diagnostics; engine emissions measurement; particulate characterization and their control; and alternative fuels. Dr. Singh has published 15 peer reviewed international journal papers and 6 peer reviewed international and national conference papers. He is a member of numerous professional societies, including SAE, ASME, and ISEES. He is a member of the editorial board of the 'Journal of Energy, Environment and Sustainability'.

UK Delivery
Orders for delivery in the UK are normally despatched by Royal Mail, using the RM 48 Tracked Service with most orders delivered to you within a few days of placing your order with us. For larger parcels, Courier and Signed For delivery services may be used. Signed Books are shipped in our specially made book mailing cartons, with the books themselves wrapped in paper to protect them. Sometimes we may ship your order in several parts, particularly if you have 'Pre-Order' titles in your order or titles which are held in stock with our publishing partners.
The Really Important Bit: Because we use tracked, courier and signed for delivery services, please use an address at which your parcel can be received during the normal working day, for example, you may want to have your order delivered to your work address if you're not at home during the day.

Where possible, we will ship book orders (under 2kg) by Royal Mail to all UK postcodes. Large multiple book orders and books over 2kg are often shipped via APC Overnight or similar, regardless of Postcode.

Coming by Car
If you're coming to Coles by car, why not take advantage of the 2 hours free parking at Sainsbury's Pioneer Square - just follow the signs for Pioneer Square as you drive into Bicester and park in the multi-storey car park above the supermarket. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. You don't need to shop in Sainsbury's to get the free parking!
