The book goes on to discuss the qualification of construction managers and the type of management systems and their roles during the different design stages from the beginning through to the handover of the project is also included.This volume provides significant information and guidelines to construction and project management professionals (owners, designers, consultants, construction managers, project managers, supervisors, contractors, builders, developers, and many others from the construction-related industry) involved in construction projects (mainly civil construction projects and commercial-A/E projects) and construction-related industries.

About the Author: Abdul Razzak Rumane Ph.D. is a Chartered Quality Professional-Fellow of The Chartered Quality Institute (UK) and a certified consultant engineer in the field of project management and electrical engineering. He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree from Marathwada University (now Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University) India in 1972 and received his Ph.D. from Kennedy Western University, USA (now Warren National University) in 2005. Dr. Rumane's professional career exceeds 50 years including 10 years in manufacturing industries and over 40 years in construction projects. Presently he is associated with SIJJEEL Co., Kuwait as Advisor and Director, Construction Management. He was honorary chairman of The Institution of Engineers (India), Kuwait chapter for the years 2016-17, 2013-14, and 2005 to 2007 and served as Secretary of ASQ GC for the year 2019 and Secretary of ASQ LMC, Kuwait for the year 2017 and 2018. He was Vice Chair of the ASQ Kuwait Section for the year 2021. He served as international liaison committee chair of ASQ (Design and Construction Division) for the year 2023-24. As an accomplished Engineer, Dr. Rumane has been awarded an honorary doctorate in engineering from The Yorker International University, USA (2007). The International University of Ministry and Education, Missouri awarded him Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) for expertise in quality management (2021). World Quality Congress awarded him the "Global Award for Excellence in Quality Management and Leadership" and The Albert Schweitzer International Foundation honored him with a gold medal for "Outstanding contribution in the field of Quality in Construction Projects". Dr. Rumane has attended many international conferences and has made many technical presentations at various conferences. He is the author of 8 books entitled "Quality Management in Construction Projects", First Edition (2010) "Quality Tools for Managing Construction Projects" (2013), Editor of the "Handbook of Construction Management: Scope, Schedule, and Cost Control" (2016). "Quality Management in Construction Projects", Second Edition (2017), "Quality Management in Oil and Gas Projects" (2021 "Risk Management Applications Used to Sustain Quality in Projects: A Practical Guide" (2022), " Quality Management: How to Achieve Sustainability in Projects" (2023), "Total Quality Management Applications and Concepts for Construction Projects" (2024), All published by CRC Press (A Taylor & Francis Group Company), USA. A book entitled "Quality Auditing in Construction Projects: A Handbook" (2019) is published by Routledge, UK (A Taylor & Francis Group Company).

UK Delivery

Orders for delivery in the UK are normally despatched by Royal Mail, using the RM 48 Tracked Service with most orders delivered to you within a few days of placing your order with us. For larger parcels, Courier and Signed For delivery services may be used. Signed Books are shipped in our specially made book mailing cartons, with the books themselves wrapped in paper to protect them. Sometimes we may ship your order in several parts, particularly if you have 'Pre-Order' titles in your order or titles which are held in stock with our publishing partners.

The Really Important Bit: Because we use tracked, courier and signed for delivery services, please use an address at which your parcel can be received during the normal working day, for example, you may want to have your order delivered to your work address if you're not at home during the day.

Another Really Important Bit: There are a number of Postcodes in the UK for which we will need to charge a shipping supplement, this will be calculated once we know the size and weight of the shipment. For these orders we will contact customers to agree a suitable and economic method of shipping. There may also be additional time required for delivery to some areas of the United Kingdom. Where possible, we will ship book orders (under 2kg) by Royal Mail to all UK postcodes. Large multiple book orders and books over 2kg are often shipped via APC Overnight or similar, regardless of Postcode.

If you're coming to Coles by car, why not take advantage of the 2 hours free parking at Sainsbury's Pioneer Square - just follow the signs for Pioneer Square as you drive into Bicester and park in the multi-storey car park above the supermarket. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. You don't need to shop in Sainsbury's to get the free parking!
