Happy Soul - The Journal by Missona Aston
Happy Soul - The Journal is your personal journal and survival kit for the 21st century. It is the workbook of the Happy Soul concept, which is both a philosophy of life and a method that helps you become aware of your genuine feelings, live intentionally, and find your true nature, passion, and life purpose.
Happy Soul comprises two books: Happy Soul - The Guidebook, and Happy Soul - the Journal. Neither of the books can be used optimally without the other.
With Happy Soul - The Journal, through daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reflection, you will become clearer about what gives you energy, meaning, and joy, as well as what your visions, patterns, and challenges are. It does not stop, however, with such insights. Happy Soul helps and guides you constantly in spading (digging) deeper while continuing to adjust between what works and does not work for you.
However, Happy Soul should not be construed as a recipe for everything. The philosophy of Happy Soul is essentially that we are all completely unique and that there is no one right answer for how to live meaningfully. Happy Soul provides you with a methodological framework (and a whole lot of "hacks"), but it is you who must fill it out!
Happy Soul addresses modern people who want more meaning and direction in life, and who seek to incorporate themselves - their values and talents - more into their work and everyday activities. It clearly addresses young people as well, who are considering an education and a career - and life as a whole.
The author of Happy Soul has herself been living her life following he principals in the book for a number of years.
About the Author: Missona Aston graduated from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark with a Master in Sociology and has worked as a futurist since 2012. The first four years were spent at Future Navigator, and since 2017 she has been her own manager in focusing on "The Super Human Future". In that interest a projection of possible lifestyles, culture, values, identity, spirituality, human skills, etc. are all relevant. Her work involves giving lectures, leading workshops, providing advisory information, writing reports, and, of course, doing research. Happy Soul is a philosophy of life and a practice that she has developed over a period of about ten years. Having arisen out of her experience, the books are products of her challenges as well as studies and research. They have been at the heart of her life. Over the years, she has learned that she is a person comprised of extremes, which out of necessity requires balancing: She must strike a balance between chaos and structure, creativity and planning, adventure and security. Her happiness simply depends on that balance, and it has been efforts made in that respect that provided the basis for the books. In that Happy Soul was shaped by her personal history, the philosophy and method represented in the books derived their character from her interest in becoming a futurist, for which 'visions' are central. She has additionally read psychology, as it regards personal development and spirituality, for many years. In the past few years she has been particularly focused on the topics around which Happy Soul has been formed, namely happiness, self-management, life purpose, habits, and cultivation of 'visions'. Her purpose in writing the Happy Soul books - and her purpose in life - is to inspire and help others live in contact with their souls; to offer others the opportunity to live a life that is right for them - right in relation to what is their nature, what they are created for, what makes sense, and what creates joy. For her that is what life is all about. She is convinced that when we connect with our passion and nature, we will automatically contribute to a better society - through being ourselves and doing what we were created for. Missona was born in 1983 in Naestved, Denmark, where she grew up. Today she lives in Copenhagen with her husband, but as much of her work is location independent, she moves often, preferably to a place out in nature, where she can be calm and contemplative.
