About the Author: Maulik Joshi, DrPH Maulik Joshi, Dr.P.H. is the President and CEO of Meritus Health, Inc. Meritus Health Inc. includes the proposed Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM) and Meritus Medical Center. The mission of Meritus Health is to improve the health of our community by providing the best healthcare, health services and medical education. Meritus Medical Center is a regional health system with 3,000+ employees and 600+ medical staff. MMC includes a 327 bed medical center, a 160 provider Meritus Medical Group, Meritus Home Health and 25% ownership of Maryland Physicians Care, a 230,000 Medicaid member health plan. Meritus Medical Center serves over 200,000 people in western Maryland, southern Pennsylvania and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Previously, Maulik was the COO and Executive Vice President at the Anne Arundel Health System (AAHS). Prior to AAHS, Maulik was at the American Hospital Association as Associate Executive Vice President and President of the Health Research and Educational Trust. Maulik has also worked at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the University of Pennsylvania Health System and The HMO Group. Maulik has a Doctorate in Public Health and a Master's degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan. He was Editor-in-Chief for the Journal for Healthcare Quality. He also co-edited The Healthcare Quality Book: Vision, Strategy and Tools (5th edition published in 2022) and coauthored Healthcare Transformation: A Guide for the Hospital Board Member and Leading Healthcare Transformation: A Primer for Clinical Leaders. Maulik has authored a combination of over fifty peer-reviewed articles, commentaries and perspectives. Maulik is adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan School of Public Health in the Department of Health Management & Policy where he teaches annually. He has served on the board of trustees for Anne Arundel Medical Center and the board quality and patient safety committee for Mercy Health System and Advocate Health System, among others. Aaron George, DO Dr. Aaron George, Chief Medical Officer of Meritus Health, received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa. and completed his residency in family medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. Dr. George was a Andlinger fellow in health policy with the Center for Public Health in Vienna, Austria, where he focused on models of care delivery. In addition, he is a clinical associate professor at Penn State College of Medicine, where he teaches coursework on the history of medicine. He has been a regular contributor to Medical Economics with a focus on population health, medical education and physician leadership development throughout the spectrum of clinical training. Dr. George is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

UK Delivery
Orders for delivery in the UK are despatched by Courier and Signed For delivery services and will normally be delivered to you within a few days of placing your order. Signed Books are shipped in our specially made book mailing cartons, with the books themselves wrapped in paper to protect them. Sometimes we may ship your order in several parts, particularly if you have 'Pre-Order' titles in your order or titles which are held in stock with our publishing partners.
The Really Important Bit: Because we use courier and signed for delivery services, please use an address at which your parcel can be signed for during the normal working day, for example, you may want to have your order delivered to your work address if you're not at home during the day.

Another Really Important Bit: There are a number of Postcodes in the UK for which we will need to charge a shipping supplement, this will be calculated once we know the size and weight of the shipment. For these orders we will contact customers to agree a suitable and economic method of shipping. There may also be additional time required for delivery to some areas of the United Kingdom. Where possible, we will ship single book orders (under 2kg) by Royal Mail to all UK postcodes. Multiple book orders and books over 2kg are shipped via APC Overnight, regardless of Postcode.

You can of course cancel your order with an immediate refund should you not wish to accept these additional costs. If you're coming to Coles by car, why not take advantage of the 2 hours free parking at Sainsbury's Pioneer Square - just follow the signs for Pioneer Square as you drive into Bicester and park in the multi-storey car park above the supermarket. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. You don't need to shop in Sainsbury's to get the free parking!
