More Is Better by Kathy Miller (Hardback)
In MORE Is Better, transformational manufacturing executive Kathy Miller challenges outdated assumptions about industrial leadership and delivers a powerful, field-tested framework for building cultures that drive both performance and organizational flourishing.
This is not a "soft" business book. Grounded in applied positive psychology and backed by results in factories across 24 countries, MORE Is Better shows how to engage the hands, heads, and hearts of your workforce to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost-without sacrificing humanity.
With clarity and practicality, Miller outlines three essential leadership drivers:
Meaningful Work - fuel motivation and pride by connecting daily tasks to a greater purpose.
Optimism - build resilience and adaptability with a mindset that transforms problems into progress.
Positive Workplace Relationships - strengthen collaboration, reduce turnover, and improve engagement across every level.
Through real stories and relatable scenarios from the factory floor to the boardroom, she brings the real challenges of manufacturing to life-like uncovering hidden inventory, navigating workforce disruption, and rallying a team through tough performance demands. Yet at every step, she shows how intentional leadership behaviors can turn setbacks into sustainable strength.
This book is for operational executives, plant managers, frontline leaders, HR business partners, and anyone responsible for building healthy, high-performing cultures in industrial environments. Whether you're leading a facility, a function, or a global enterprise, MORE will help you focus on what matters - and lead with greater clarity, purpose, and impact.
Because MORE isn't about chasing everything. It's about choosing what matters and doing it exceptionally well. That's how leaders sharpen their edge and deliver results that endure.
