About the Author: Jigneshkumar P. Desai, an accomplished Associate Professor at Parul University, India, has an illustrious academic background. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Gujarat Technological University (2022) and a master's degree from Nirma University (2013). With over a decade of teaching experience and a year and a half in the industry, Dr. Desai brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. His impressive publication record includes eleven peer-reviewed research articles featured in top-tier SCI/Scopus indexed journals, along with eight presentations at prestigious IEEE conferences and contributions to IEEE proceedings. As a senior IEEE member, he further enhances the academic community by serving as a reviewer for renowned journals like IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery and Power Systems. In the realm of literature, Dr. Desai has authored a published book titled "Generator Out-of-Step Protection Under Renewable Power Integration" and has contributed three book chapters. His recent releases delve into essential topics, such as special electrical machines and renewable integrations. Remarkably, he has also authored two additional books on machines. Dr. Desai's editorial prowess extends to an edited book titled Special Electrical Machinery in collaboration with seven co-authors from various Indian universities is published by a publisher of international repute. Furthermore, he is actively engaged in a book project titled Power System Protection with Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Desai's intellectual prowess is also evident in his involvement with intellectual property. He has one granted utility patent and one design in his intellectual property. He completed his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Shantilal Shah Engineering College, Bhavnagar, in 2013, and his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology, Surat, in 2008. He has made significant contributions to the field through numerous publications in SCI and Scopus-indexed journals and conferences. His research focuses on multiphase induction motor drives for high-power applications, power system protection, microprocessors, microcontrollers, and control systems.Paresh Kumar Nayak is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad. With a distinguished career in academia and industry, he specializes in the protection, control, and monitoring of power transmission and distribution networks, including FACTS devices and renewable energy integration. Dr. Nayak holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, where his research focused on innovative algorithms for distance relays in power networks. He also completed an MSc in High Voltage Engineering from IISc Bangalore and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from VSSUT Burla. Before joining IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, Dr. Nayak served as an Assistant Professor at NIT Patna and KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, and worked in the industry as a Transformer Design Engineer. His academic contributions include guiding several Ph.D. scholars and M.Tech students, developing new lab setups, and preparing new syllabi. Dr. Nayak has delivered numerous invited lectures and has been actively involved in professional services as a reviewer for several international journals and conferences. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Life Member of ISTE. His notable accolades include the POSOCO Power System Award for his doctoral research.

UK Delivery

Orders for delivery in the UK are normally despatched by Royal Mail, using the RM 48 Tracked Service with most orders delivered to you within a few days of placing your order with us. For larger parcels, Courier and Signed For delivery services may be used. Signed Books are shipped in our specially made book mailing cartons, with the books themselves wrapped in paper to protect them. Sometimes we may ship your order in several parts, particularly if you have 'Pre-Order' titles in your order or titles which are held in stock with our publishing partners.

The Really Important Bit: Because we use tracked, courier and signed for delivery services, please use an address at which your parcel can be received during the normal working day, for example, you may want to have your order delivered to your work address if you're not at home during the day.

Where possible, we will ship book orders (under 2kg) by Royal Mail to all UK postcodes. Large multiple book orders and books over 2kg are often shipped via APC Overnight or similar, regardless of Postcode.

Coming by Car

If you're coming to Coles by car, why not take advantage of the 2 hours free parking at Sainsbury's Pioneer Square - just follow the signs for Pioneer Square as you drive into Bicester and park in the multi-storey car park above the supermarket. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. You don't need to shop in Sainsbury's to get the free parking!
