About the Author: Kaushik Kumar holds a PhD in Engineering from Jadavpur University, India, an MBA in Marketing Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, India and a Bachelor of Technology from Regional Engineering College (Now National Institute of Technology), Warangal, India. For 11 years, he worked in a manufacturing unit of Global repute. He is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India. He has 23 Years of Teaching and Research Experience. His research interests include Composites, Optimization, Non-Conventional Machining, CAD / CAM, Rapid Prototyping and Quality Management Systems towards product development for societal and industrial usage and has received 35+ patents for them most of which are donated to Start-ups and Industrial fraternity through Jharkhand Small Industries Association (JSIA). He has published 55+ Books (They are referred as Textbooks and Reference Books by 40+ Universities / Institutes in their academic curriculum), 95+ Book Chapters and 200+ Research Papers in peer-reviewed reputed national and international journals. Kaushik has also served as Editor-in-Chief, Series Editor, Guest Editor, Editor, Editorial Board Member and Reviewers for International and National Journals. He has been felicitated with many awards and honours including Distinguished Alumnus Award for Professional Excellence 2023 under Academic and Research from National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India. He has also received Sponsored Research and Consultancy Projects of more than 1 Crore from Govt. of India and abroad. Kaushik has delivered expert lectures as Keynote Speaker at International & National Conferences, Resource Person at Various Workshops, FDP's and Short-Term Courses. He has guided many students of doctoral, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes of his home and other institutions in India and abroad. He also has served as reviewer and examiner of doctoral and postgraduate dissertation for institutes in India and abroad.Chikesh Ranjan is a highly accomplished Mechanical Engineer currently serving as a Project Engineer for Project SwaYaan - Capacity Building in Drone/UAS at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Rourkela. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Chikesh also possesses a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in the Design of Mechanical Equipment, from the same institution. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Marathwara Institute of Technology, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India, where he graduated with First Class with distinction. Chikesh's innovative contributions have been recognized through the publication of 15 journal papers, 10 authored books, and 13 book chapters. He has actively organized 10 workshops, coordinated 13 technical events, and been involved in 18 technical events overall. Additionally, he has participated in 31 training/FDP programs and attended 34 national/international workshops, seminars, and webinars. Chikesh has been granted 10 design patents and 7 foreign patents, demonstrating his dedication to advancing mechanical design and technology. With 9 years of teaching and research experience of global repute, his areas of teaching and research interest include composites, non-conventional machining, CAD/CAM, and robotics. He is a proud member of the Institution of Engineers, India, and has received 7 prestigious awards and honours for his remarkable contributions to the field of Mechanical Engineering.

UK Delivery

Orders for delivery in the UK are normally despatched by Royal Mail, using the RM 48 Tracked Service with most orders delivered to you within a few days of placing your order with us. For larger parcels, Courier and Signed For delivery services may be used. Signed Books are shipped in our specially made book mailing cartons, with the books themselves wrapped in paper to protect them. Sometimes we may ship your order in several parts, particularly if you have 'Pre-Order' titles in your order or titles which are held in stock with our publishing partners.

The Really Important Bit: Because we use tracked, courier and signed for delivery services, please use an address at which your parcel can be received during the normal working day, for example, you may want to have your order delivered to your work address if you're not at home during the day.

Another Really Important Bit: There are a number of Postcodes in the UK for which we will need to charge a shipping supplement, this will be calculated once we know the size and weight of the shipment. Where possible, we will ship book orders (under 2kg) by Royal Mail to all UK postcodes. Large multiple book orders and books over 2kg are often shipped via APC Overnight or similar, regardless of Postcode.

All overseas orders are shipped using a 'signed for' courier service - please provide an address at which your parcel can be signed for on receipt. We use the same packaging materials for our overseas deliveries as we do those in the UK. In some cases, particularly large and heavy books, or books being shipped to remote areas, may incur an additional shipping charge - if this is the case with your order, we'll notify you as quickly as possible of these charges and to arrange the additional payment. You can of course cancel your order with an immediate refund should you not wish to accept these additional costs. Shipments to overseas territories may incur additional Duty & Tax costs which could be requested by Fed Ex at the time of delivery. Coming by Car

If you're coming to Coles by car, why not take advantage of the 2 hours free parking at Sainsbury's Pioneer Square - just follow the signs for Pioneer Square as you drive into Bicester and park in the multi-storey car park above the supermarket. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. You don't need to shop in Sainsbury's to get the free parking!
